When i was at the hospital in downtown Dallas i noticed the newspaper (Dallas Morning News) had an article about the eclipse about the volume of people expected to flood the city to watch it. Article said that they expect huge numbers. In 2017 they had 5 million people come watch. My first thought was "why would anyone want to go into the city to watch this?" It seems counter intuitive to me. So there will probably be festivals and thngs of that sort. Which also seems weird to me. But i went to look for the article and on the front page they have a countdown clock... which is also weird. Why is this eclipse such a big deal to the secular world ? I also found this other article talking about the "devils comet" being visable during this eclipse. I thought it was note worthy.
