This was written by our brother Rod Raines and it really blessed me.
When I was in my teenage years my older brother got interested in magic tricks, I remember on one of our vacations we were in the back of the car and he would practice the sleight of hand with these red Sponge balls. He would practice this skill of manual dexterity for hours. He would use me and my parents as his test subjects. He masterd this to a high level. I didn't practice the sleight of hand but I was able to observe all the movements very closely.
Years later I was at some event that had a professional magician entertaining the crowd, I remember standing relatively close to the magician watching his hands and smiling. I was taken back in memory to my brother and I in the back seat on one of our families great vacations and him practicing his hand moves.
The magician saw my smile and mistook it for a smirk, he motioned me up closer he challenged me to keep track of the red Sponge ball in his hands.
This magician was very skillful, while watching his hands I really couldn't not keep track of the red Sponge ball. But I knew his routines so I knew where he wanted me to look and I knew where the red ball would be. With each routine his frustration grew as he could not seem to direct my eyes to his deception.

It also doesn't hurt that Peter has a great sense of humor, He has me laughing during his broadcast. Laughing is healing!
