What most people mean when they say "He knows my heart" is that they are giving themselves credit for good intentions, regardless of actions ... or fruit.
This is not what the scripture says. He says HE tries the REINS.
What are REINS for?
To STOP a horse or TURN the horse ... so HE sees if you are OBEDIENT or not.
