The battle that leaders face.

In every era it has always been the same. Tyrants and despots, control freaks and abusers seize upon power in all forms.

Rising from the ashes are those who forge new eras ... and it is always the same.
Men of courage have to depart from the comforts of one life ... in order to reach the freedom your soul craves.

Inevitably it seems, the old world fights back ... wanting to reclaim the time, energy, and life force of all who seek to escape.

It is then that leaders who are forged in courage are born ... and new nations are born, new civilization birthed ... because the courage to leave the old finally arrived.
Unfortunately for leaders ... the price of that breakthrough is often their own lives given to see another generation enjoy the benefits.

This is the deep burden of any true leader ... known deep in each soul. The very thing you are laying your life down for ... you may not enjoy.

But LOVE greater than ourselves ... greater than our own desires ... our own needs ... grips our hearts and we cannot go back. We must forge ahead even though we know ... this new sunrise is for those who come behind you.

For this reason our humble leaders are worthy ... of double honor.

Revelation 1:12-18 "And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;

And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death."
