When you are a disciple of Messiah it comes with courage to speak the truth in love ... and for 99.9% that is done in private to preserve the dignity of the recipient.

An Elder who is an example has a higher standard and when found in trespass or behavior that could lead to the harm of others ... there is a rebuke needed and it will NOT be private.

While this is NOT a common occurrence there are occasions when a public rebuke is needed to exact immediate change and warn others concerning the same behavior.

In such a case the elder being corrected also demonstrates excellence in response that remedies the trespass and all who observed are given two good examples.

One of uncompromising correction and TWO of unity of PURPOSE which brings the brethren back together on vision. Correction successful.
