Today I found out that my sister put my mother into an "assisted living" place without letting me know. I had no idea she did this.

She claims it was because she couldn't deal with her anymore ... as if the elderly are a burden and not a treasure.

This is the same sister that refused to let me taker her with me to Arizona so that she could enjoy the warm and be with family everyday.

No no ... have to keep her in Connecticut in a house by herself ... until she can put her in a nursing home. What a great plan.

Please pray for me ... that was hard to hear.

I will of course pray in intercession for you all ... I can relate to your situation. In August I found out that my oldest sister had taken a bad turn of health ... she never married and had no children. My siblngs seemed to be ok with just writing her off. I couldn't let her go into hospice with no family near, so I left my work in another state, and came home to be with her. Yahua worked it all beautifully, and I was thrilled to help her cross the finishline of her race.

May my experience be a cautionary tale to all in this hour ... make no presumptions about your extended "family" as concerning elderly care. Thankfully my mother is fine and seems content where she is but ... that doesn't change the fact that "family" will make decisions without you because ... you are set apart.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Same thing happened to my precious Granny. Split my Mom's family, lots of bad feelings but it was Granny who paid the biggest price. YAH is watching.
