Someone asked ... Can we ask questions during Live broadcasts and Shabbat Services.
So if someone has a question that is a simple question ... well sure those get answered all the time.
But if a person has MULTIPLE questions on the same topic ... let's say "when does the day begin" or "What kinds of things do we do on Pesach" which will be a more in-depth answer ... that is more for our open discussions.
We encourage the questions but we have to also consider the time and place.
During the Shabbat Message, a one hour sliver of time compared to the rest of the week ... we want to stay focused on the message at hand.
Before or after that there are countless hours for questions, discussions, and the sharing of perhaps articles, research, scriptures etc.
So out of respect for the person asking the question, we don't want to give a "quickie" response as that will usually garner even more questions.
Instead, we believe it is more effective to take the time to thoroughly answer a question ... like I'm doing right now with you.
So I will say, "let's talk about that in our discussion board" so the person not only gets the complete answer and thorough review ... but so do all those who may have the same question and didn't know where to ask it.
We built this entire discussion board for this purpose.
That's how important we think your questions are!
