Shalom everyone may this be a blessed day for all of you.
Dear Heavenly Father, Yahuah we seek your council, we invoke your spirit, help us to discern, as nothing escapes your site. Guide us Yahuah give us a healthy spirit, a clear eye and wisdom to help us. Identify any presence of the enemy, trying to tempt or trap us into the sin of pride or vanity. Set us free of our flesh so that we may see with the eyes of Yahusha. Let us identify the spirit behind any choices we must make. May your Ruach Ha’ Qodesh fill us and take control, so that we only need to walk in obedience for you alone are, you are our sovereign Yahuah and all our decisions must glorify you and your beloved son, Yahusha Messiah, in his sweet and Qodesh name.
Ahmein.

So I saw a monk for the first time and honestly felt compelled to talk to him. From his cross and pendant I figured he was a catholic monk. But I was curious about a few things that they believe and wanted to know why. A respectful challenge to his belief.
1. Why do they pray to Mary
2. Why do they hold her in high regard
3. Then where is scripture does it say we are to pry or hold her in any regard.
4. When they teach why to they teach to pray to her instead of praying directly to Yahuah/Yahusha and where in scripture are we commanded to do such things.
5. Why do you use God and Jesus? Where did this name come from and if you go back to original text, in its original language it was not that.
6. If original text clearly uses his proper name why deviate from that, don’t you feel this would be offensive to him? Don’t you think he would want HIS name to be used? Don’t you think he would want us to call on him, pray to him using his actual name?
7. I got him to admit the close relationship between Christianity and Catholicism and therefore asked him doesn’t that seem like a high jacking of the faith? Because his covenant was not with either of them therefore shouldn’t you teach to understand the people who he had a covenant with and the laws they were commanded to obey? Shouldn’t we do the same ?
8. Why do they not spend time teaching the Old Testament and following his laws and commanded.
9. Why do they celebrate these pagan holidays? The spend 7 days celebrating Christmas and Easter. Why? Where are we commanded to do this?
9. Why do their catacombs contradict scripture and why does it place the church as the foremost authority? There is only one authority and we are to take all things directly to our creator.

Not sure if this was right of me and I did it in love but I was honestly driven to engage him.
End result was he could not show or explain any of this to me, he felt the name didn’t matter because it goes to the same place. (I was like WHAT!! It doesn’t matter?) they pray to mary because she takes it to him. I asked then why not just pray directly to him then? All things should be brought to his feet.
He recommended a book (Seven story mountain by Thomas Merton) and handed me some pendent. Of which made it to the trash. I will not bring such things on my home. But I guess I walked away feeling sad that soo many just can’t see through the lies. I felt his heart was in the right place in that he was sincere in his belief, even haded me his card to their monastery. But he didn’t even seem to question anything I asked when he couldn’t being it back to scripture.

Anyhow, just felt like sharing my experience. I don’t have anyone to share or bounce my experiences with so thought I’d share it here

Good morning family, getting some reading in and would like to get a better understanding from some of my more mature brothers and sisters scripturally. Reading Genesis got to chapter 29 and backed up because it got confusing. Trying to read with understanding so I may throw questions in here so I can learn more deeply.

First question. Why and how can someone giveaway their birthright? Is this a spiritual birthright? Or just an inheritance? Genesis 25 V 29-34. Ya’aqov is after Esau’s birthright and even their mother conspires against Esau. (So sad that a mother would do this to rob one child to give to another)

Second question. Chpt 26 end of V8 (Yitchaq was sporting with his woman (there is a symbol here) that means ( the first and the last, the beginning and the end) why is this symbol placed here? Does it symbolize Yahuah? And what does (sporting) mean? I’m thinking sporting mean just showing her off maybe.

Third question. Please help me understand why after Yitschaq was deceived by Ya’aqov and took Esau’s blessing why it can’t be recanted. Why can’t he rebuke Ya’aqov for the deception and still bless Esau?

A lot of shady stuff going on here. Thank you to all for the help.

I believe it’s Jubilees that actually gives you a way deeper understanding of what is happening here especially as it pertains to Jacob’s Mother and why she did what she did.

You asked really good questions.

I am not sure if my answers will suffice but I have some thoughts I would like to share.

Question 1: This is a two part question. Why would someone give up their birthright? Because they were temporal in their thinking and the person who asked was thinking eternally.

This happened in my life. I am the second son. My eldest brother was in need of money when we were young and I purchased his birthright. This very story inspired me. He thought it was funny. He laughed and happily sold it to me. Our eldest sister was witness and she was not amused. She remembers it to this day. She is a widow of a pastor.

My brother died on a park bench a few years ago after a very difficult life. We were only 13 months apart but you would never know we were brothers by the way we lived our lives despite coming from the same mother and father.

Why would he sell his birthright? He never had a good answer.

How was the easy part. The offer was made for something temporal and the offer accepted. It cannot be recanted. The gifts and callings of Yahuah are without repentance. So too is the Berakah. The very fact that he had such low regard for his birthright made it easy for him to forfeit it.

For this reason he must "curse your berakah" because once he gives it ... it is given.

So once the proclamation went forth from Isaac it could not be recanted for it is spiritual.

Question 2: "Sporting" is an old english term for playfulness which in the case of a husband and wife most likely included Public Displays of Affection and the kind of laughter that only couples have. It was a dead giveaway.

Question 3: You must also realize that it was the will of Yahuah that Yacob receive the berakah as Isaac was already told by his father Abraham. So when Isaac realizes that despite his intention to go against the will of his father, Yahuah had outwitted him, he knew it was his own stubbornness that was being rebuked.

You are correct in that he could have protested the deception but it allowed him to do what he knew was right and yet maintain his relationship with his son Esau whom he loved.

I believe Isaac knew the decision was made in heaven.

Seeking insight, seeking where in the word I can zero in on as I continue to pray for direction to receive a word, direction and the will is of Elohim. I sought advise from an elder as this was very private to me and one of the things I was told is this. (it is appropriate to keep such matters in a measure of discretion however the value of the input of your brethren cannot be overstated)

No words can describe how humbling and vulnerable this is to put this out there but the cost is great so I only ask that It be meet with love...That this treated with respect because we don't control where we wake up from our strong delusions and as I continue to grow I am pulled more and more. to walk a narrow path but this comes at costs; this comes at great cost to some. I am in this moment reminded of the great price Yahuash paid for us, the burden he carried and how immeasurable it is. My burden is not comparable but one cannot sooth a broken heart, one cannot tell the heart not to feel what it feels. But my salvation ultimately more important than anything on this earth and to quote someone we all love and respect "This is the home of strong and the very courageous" and courage is doing the right thing even when its hard. So I humble my self before you all, I lay myself at the feet of Yahusha and demonstrate that I have courage to do as he commands even if I am weeping all the way through it if it be his will. This is the cost of being the Remnant and being on the narrow path.

See below the burden I am carrying and the question I asked and the hopes that this brings mercy in the eyes of Yahusha in the form of direction so I understand my path forward.............Thank you all

Yahusha has placed on my heart that my relationship needs to be addressed. I have been in a relationship with my girlfriend for the last 6 plus years. We have a child whom is 5 now. And in this time I have been called, or stumbled my way back into his word; whatever it may be, she does not share any belief or faith like I have. In fact she has no belief and does not believe in a creator. I really want to do the right thing here and in accordance with the will and law of Yahusha. I have been trying very hard to walk the narrow path, lead by example in that Yahusha might through me work on her heart and bring my family together. But I am not spiritually mature and could be completely wrong here. At the end of the day I am reminded of many profits that have had to make hard choices about their family, children and their salvation putting Yahusha before all. I will do that if it is the will of Yahusha but I do not have the spiritual maturity to discern the path forward. I was going to sit down with her and share my faith and why I am trying to make these changes in my life, why I need to be on the narrow path in hopes that she will understand, support me and try to grow with me. I send her the Weekly Updates, I have sent her streams to try and allow Yahusha to begin to work on her heart but she does not watch them. I just dont know if all this in vein and will never be blessed by him. I know you are busy and I am sorry to ask for help. I am not usually one to ask but I recognize I am out of my depth and need direction. Are you able to give me guidance, is there another elder that can guide me? I am not negotiating here, I am not thinking I can straddle the fence here with my salvation. I understand something needs to be done. Praise Yah and may his will be done in my life.
Sincerely,
The hardest thing I have ever done and that says a lot lol.

Let HIS Word guide you and strengthen you. My humble advice is to pray and fast and seek ELOHIM for HIS counsel. ELOHIM will Never contradict HIS Word. Then after you have seeked HIM with all your heart wait for HIS answer and THEN reach out to the elders in the House. We have strong men of ELOHIM who can minister wisdom to you. These 2 sources will be in agreement and you will get a confirmation in the mouth of 2 or 3 witnesses. Remember that HIS Word cannot be broken or compromised. Love you brother. I will pray ELOHIM gives you wisdom.🌹

Shalum brother! Thank you so much for sharing your struggle with us! Truly Strong and very Courageous!
YAHUAH is speaking to His children about marriage so I know as you seek Him you will find answers. I will pray for you in this and that YAHUAH sends the right child of His to minister to you in this area.

Thank you everyone I am truly grateful to be here. I am both humbled and very excited to see where this takes me. I am overwhelmed with a heart that brings tears to my eyes and hairs on my neck because I am starting to feel again for the word of Yahusha. I know the narrow path will come with its own cost but a cost worth paying; I really look forward to learning and growing from everyone in here. Thank you Peter for the opportunity Peter Michael Martinez to be apart of Remnant House. Pride, ego, ambitions. everything is checked and dropped at the gates of remnant; I know the spiritual education, growth and the knowledge I will gain will keep my on the narrow path and hopefully find my spiritual calling.
